Means of Energy Audit for IEE NTUU “KPI”



On the 20th of June the Head of the Ukrainian-Japanese centre at the NTUU “KPI” Osamu Midzutani presented Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Marketing at the NTUU “KPI” with the equipment for energy audit for its use in scientific researches and educational process.

‘Today we are giving KPI the equipment, the operation of which was demonstrated by the participants of the workshop which was held from 12th to 14th of June. We consulted Japanese experts about whom out of the participants of this workshop better to give it and decided unanimously that this equipment should be presented to the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Marketing at the NTUU “KPI”,’ stressed the head of the Ukrainian-Japanese centre at the NTUU “KPI” Osamu Midzutani. ’We have collaborated a lot with its first director Arthur Prahovnyk, we hold several workshops for experts in this field and I am sure that here it will be of the utmost use to prepare specialists for energy sector in Ukraine.’

The total cost of the equipment, which students, professors and researchers at the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Marketing received, amounts to 909 000 Japanese yen (almost 73 thousand hryvnias). Actually, it is a complete instrumental complex for carrying out energy audit operations, which includes a data logger, an infrared imager, an exhaust gas analyser, a multifunctional illuminometer- thermometer- hygrometer- anemometer, pressure and temperature sensors etc.

‘We are very grateful to our friends for this gift. We will always maintain traditions of collaborating with the leading countries, organisations and companies in the field of energy saving, laid by the founder of our Institute Arthur Veniaminovych Prahovnyk. He appreciated that collaboration very much and so do we, ’ stressed the Head of the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Marketing at the NYUU “KPI” Serhii Denysiuk, ’So new knowledge and skills, that we gained during our last joint event, will be certainly passed to students, representatives of industry and authority who will study and will be trained at our Institute.’

Finally, the Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation of the NTUU “KPI” Serhii Sydorenko presented a letter of gratitude from the Chancellor of the NTUU “KPI” Mykhailo Zhurovskii to the Head of the Ukrainian-Japanese centre Osamu Midzutani and asked him to pass the words of honour and gratitude to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Toichi Sakata for his care for our university and vigorous activity in establishing cooperation between Ukrainian and Japanese educators and scientists.
