There were published official results of another Webometrics rate («Ranking Web of Universities») on official webpage of Webometrics on 7th of February which is the first in 2013.
National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” took on a leadership once more among Ukrainian universities. Moreover, it was Kyiv Polytechnic Institute which has improved its positions two times running – from July 2012 it rose on more than 200 points and took 510 place (712 in 2012)!
Second in Webometrics rate is Taras Shevchenko National Kyiv University. It has also improved its results significantly and took 704 place (972 in 2012).
The third place goes to Donetsk National Technical University. With 1116 place (981 in 2012), the fourth is University of Kharkiv. It took 1138 place (1469 in 2012) and the last – the fifth –is Lviv Polytechnic National University with 1242 place (1074 in 2012).
There were 21250 world universities presented in Webometrics rate (20 745 in July 2012) and each place in it defines a degree of universities integration in Internet. Cybermetics Lab research group, which conducts the rating, publishes the results twice a year – in January and July.
