On March 14, 2013 Professor Leonids Ribickis, Rector of Riga Technical University (RTU), Academician of Latvian Academy of Sciences, visited NTUU "KPI". He got acquainted with historic campus of KPI, Scientific and Technical Library, Culture and Arts Center as well as Art Gallery of the University, exhibition of the State Polytechnic Museum at NTUU "KPI" and monuments of outstanding scientists and designers, who got study and worked in KPI.
Mykhailo Zgurovsky, NTUU "KPI" Rector, Sergey Sidorenko, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Victor Kamayev, Director of Science Park "Kyivska Polytechnika", Inna Maliukova, Director of Training and Methodical Complex "Institute for Continuing Education", Olexander Yandulsky, Dean of the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automation, Valerij Zhujkov, Dean of the Faculty of electronics, and others took part in the meeting. Professor Ribickis told about the history, training directions and research activities of RTU. Participants discussed the possibility of cooperation between universities, conditions and prospects.
National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" and Riga Technical University signed an Agreement on partnership, cooperation and scientific exchange.
This document provides organization of scientific exchange between NTUU "KPI" and RTU, joint research activities, exchange of scientific and scientific-methodical literature, training of students and postgraduates in two universities, preparation and publication of joint articles on the results of joint research and so on.
After official signing ceremony Rector of Riga Technical University Mr. Leonids Ribikis got acquainted with the activities of Science Park "Kyivska Polytechnika" and some KPI Departments.
