On November, 1, the delegation of the universities of the Republic of Korea visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The delegation consisted of the following participants: from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine – the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine, Lee Young Gu; from the Korean Educational Center in Ukraine – its director, Yu Sang-Beom, and Administrator Rim Kil Ho; from Kunshan National University – director of the Institute for International Relations and Language Education Park Qing Gun and a member of the same Institute, Yung Sang Hag; from Wozuk University – Dean of Academic and International Relations Shin Yong Si and Deputy Director of the Center for Global Relations Kim Do Gun; from the University of Chonchu – Dean of International Relations, Ru In Pong and International Relations Manager Lee Beom Soo.
The guests met with the Vice-rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for International Relations, member-correspondent of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Sergiy Sydorenko, head of the department of foreign economic activity Andriy Shysholin, deputy head of the department of international cooperation Ksenia Yudkova, representatives of institutes and faculties of the university.
During the meeting, the guests presented presentations of their universities and got acquainted with the presentation by Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The participants then discussed issues of educational exchanges.
Finally, memoranda of understanding on academic cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Kunshan National University, Wozuk University, and Jongchu University were signed. The memoranda primarily include the development of joint activities of universities in the academic field, in particular the support of joint publications of educational materials, the exchange of students, teachers, researchers and administrative staff, joint research projects, the implementation of visiting and joint lectures and symposiums, the exchange of scientific information and materials, etc.
Guests also visited the University campus, visited the State Polytechnic Museum at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the exhibition of the Department of Aviation and Cosmonautics named after Igor Sikorskyi.
