The new mural under the name “Adolescence” appeared in July on the territory of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on the wall of the building number 7. The author of the mural is the artist Marat Morik.
Academician Sergiy Pavlovych Korolyov, the student of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1924-1926, became the main hero of the practical astronautics. Under his direction, the first artificial satellite of the Earth was created on October 4, 1957, and on April 12, 1961, the Earth was orbited by the first spacecraft with the first astronaut – Yurii Gagarin – on board.
