The International Forum "INNOVATION MARKET",  within which a number of events took place, was held in the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv on November 21-24, 2017. The employees of our university actively participated in the forum. Representatives of the Department of Science and Innovation, of the Department of International Cooperation, and of the Science Park “Kyivska Polytechnika” were engaged in the workshop for specialists of the higher education institutions of Ukraine on the intellectual property issues, as well as in the seminar “Opportunities for small and medium business in the EU research and technological development program "Horizon 2020"” and the round table “New opportunities for higher education institutions in the scope of the education reform”.

Rector of KPI and academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine M.Z. Zgurovsky made a speech on the "Ecosystems for Innovation and Entrepreneurship" at the forum "Innovative Development in the People's Republic of China and the scientific and technical cooperation between Ukraine and China". The forum was organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. After the speech of M. Z. Zgurovsky, representatives of the People's Republic of China expressed their interest in establishing new relations with our university. In particular, the delegation of Harbin city requested to visit Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in order to discuss scientific and technical cooperation as well as get acquainted with the innovation system formed on the basis of the university.

Over 500 unique designs, inventions and startup projects of ukrainian enterprises and organizations, including higher education institutions, were presented at the special demo-sites of the forum, the area of which amounted to several thousand square meters. During the exhibition, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv noted high level of KPI innovative developments, which were reported to him by the Deputy Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, docent V. A. Barbash.

S. I. Kubiv mentioned, in particular, development of national nanosatellites (supervisor – senior research scientist B. M. Rassamakin, TEF) and water purification vehicle "SOVA" (supervisor - assistant T. Yu. Nyzhnyk, XTF). Visitors of the Forum were also interested in such innovative developments as heat exchangers (doctor of engineering Ye. M. Pysmenyi, TEF); cerametallic products (doctor of engineering P. I. Loboda, IFF); equipment and technologies line for the production of new materials using laser surface processing (scientific supervisor - doctor of engineering L. F. Golovko, MMI); ultrasonic cavitator (doctor of engineering O. F. Luhovskyi, MMI); bolide “Formula Student” (doctor of engineering
V. A. Pasichnyk, MMI); portable welding device (doctor of engineering V. V. Kvasnytskyi, ZF); micro-inverting element (doctor of engineering Y. M. Tuz and Ph.D. in engineering M. V. Dobroliubova, FAKS); casting and 3D products (doctor of engineering V. P. Samarai, IFF); glass-basalt container (doctor of engineering O. Ye. Kolosov, IHF) and others.

A. V. Tkachenko, CEO of the International Exhibition Center, paid attention to Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute exposition too so as our university is a regular participant of the exhibition.

During the forum, scientists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute have also established close contacts with industrial enterprises and organizations, among the representatives of which there were a lot of KPI graduates.
