In the art gallery of  Igor Sikorsky KPI there was  the exhibition of paintings entitled"the Polytechnic Institute in the works of the contemporary Ukrainian artists." The watercolors by Olga Bazhenova and the paintings by Oleg Mischenko, written in oil were represented to the audience.

Despite the fact that the main theme of Olga Bazhenova's creativity is the flowers, this exhibition mostly represented her architectural landscapes. Given that she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, she paints the details of architectural forms precisely and with understanding. The audience could see in full in the series "Polytechnic Institute".

"I like the KPI, I live near and watch it in all seasons," Olga told us.

Oleg Mishchenko, a painter,is a regular participant of all-Ukrainian and the foreign exhibitions. The  works devoted to the artist's favorite park, old buildings and buildings of the Kiev Polytechnic were represented at the university exhibitions. In addition, visitors could familiarize themselves with the landscapes created by the artist in different years. Oleg Mishchenko's creativity is an embodiment of the classical school of Ukrainian landscape painting, which has a subtle sense of beauty of native nature and awareness of its own spiritual sources. The paintings are made in oiling techniques, which the author brilliantly owns. In his works the artist uses mostly pure bright colors, skillfully combining them. We also saw a wide range of well-chosen tonal solutions, making the paintings more realistic and filled with air.
