This spring hosted two traditional events at the Odessa National Academy of Communications named after O.S. Popov - final stages of the All-Ukrainian contest of student research thesis and the All-Ukrainian student Olympiad at telecommunications.

At the end of March two teams of ITS students presented their projects on the court of the competition committee. And it was not pointless as the team consisting of Volodymyr Prokopets and Nataliia Hvozdetska won the second place. And the team consisting of Andrii Zakharchuk and Ivan Ishchenko received a diploma for the original technical solution.

A month later on the eve of the May holidays, ITS students visited Odessa for the second time to show their knowledge at the All-Ukrainian Olympiad. Their result speaks for themselves: Ivan Osipchuk took the first place in a personal score on specialty "Telecommunication systems and networks", and the team hold the second place in the team score. Euhenia Svesinska and Kyrylo Nemchenko were awarded with the letters for original way to solve tasks.

Traditionally, both events were supported by Kyivstar. Representative of the company, Ksenia Kekerchenko, congratulated the students and wished them creative success and inspiration. And the winners have also received valuable prizes.
Apart from scientific competitions, participants of both events had the opportunity to visit the Museum of Telecommunications and Radio, working at the Academy. In the museum have been collected the most interesting examples of domestic telecommunication equipment for the past one and a half centuries. And, of course, in the spring the old part of the city is especially beautiful - the Deribasovska Street during the day fascinates with greenery and architecture, at night thousands of lanterns and festoons turn on. Unfortunately, the Potemkin stairs near the Dyuk Richelieu monument were closed for reconstruction, but Primorsky Boulevard pleasantly surprised with the original decorations.

So what is the result? Students of the Institute of Telecommunication Systems, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, once again confirmed the high level of knowledge and proved that due to the hard work the highest peaks can be reached. We would like to congratulate them on their achievements and wish them future success. Keep it up!
