The second round of the All-Ukrainian Competition on the history of Ukraine was held on April 25-27, 2017, at the Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University. It was attended by 94 students who, according to the results of the first round of the Competition, showed the best results. The participants represented both profile and non-profile higher educational institutions of our country.

According to the results of the Competition, the jury determined one first, four second and five third places. In addition, some participants received certificates of honour in various nominations.

The winner of the Competition was a student of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University Mikhailo Liakh. Student of the Faculty of Management and Marketing of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Oleksii Zrobok, received a diploma of the 2nd degree. This result is especially significant because the representative of our university showed the same level of knowledge as many future professional historians. The members of the organizing committee of the Competition appreciated the high level of history teaching in the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the quality of our student's knowledge.
All winners received diplomas and history books.

The organizing committee of the Competition also took care of the cultural program. For participants, they conducted some interesting and informative excursions to the S. P. Koroliov Museum of Cosmonautics, they also visited his house-museum. In addition, students and teachers of the Ivan Franko ZhSU staged a festive concert for guests on the day of the opening ceremony of the Competition and before the announcement of the results.
