On May 15, 2018, a general meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took place. The pro-rector of the scientific work, doctor of technical sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Mykhailo Ilchenko presented a welcome speech. He noted that Igor Sikorsky KPI today has 628 young scientists (scientific and pedagogical workers and research staff). Young university scholars improve their level every year and show high academic performance, as evidenced by the great number of works submitted to various contests and grants. Scientific works from Kyiv Polytechnic University win and receive recognition.
Then the chairman of the council of young scientists of Igor Sikorsky KPI, member of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Oleg Biletsky made a report on the activities of the Council of Young Scientists of KPI.
He named the main achievements of 2017.
On March 29-31 on the basis of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted the International Educational and Training Program "School of Young Scientist-2017" Education - Science - Innovations". The event was organized by the Council of Young Scientists, the Young Scientists' Council of the International University of Finances, the Union of Young Scientists at the University of Economics (Bydgoszcz, Poland) with the support of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The school of young scientist-2017 "Steps to success in scientific and innovative activity" was held. The goal of the school was to create an effective platform for the exchange of scholars' experiences, to improve the quality of research, to promote the formation of young scientists, in particular graduate students and masters, the development of their dynamic abilities, creativity, and organization. This event for active young scientists of our university was organized by the Council of Young Scientists of Igor Sikorsky KPI and the Institute of Publishing and Printing with the support of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The delegation of the Council participated in the exhibition of dual-purpose developments in Igor Sikorsky KPI.
Representatives of the Council organized a significant number of international and all-Ukrainian conferences, seminars, trainings, etc.
It was also noted that Oleg Biletsky represented the interests of young scientists of KPI in various events at the state level and also as part of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine he is actively involved in the development of proposals for the support of young scholars.
The attendees approved the report of the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of KPI and acknowledged the work to be satisfactory.
After the report, the chairman of the council named prospective projects of the Council of Young Scientists of Igor Sikorsky KPI for 2018. Among the main:
- -organization and conducting of The School of a Young Scientist-2018 "Steps to success in scientific and innovative activity";
- conducting questionnaires among young scientists of Igor Sikorsky KPI, that will contribute to improving the quality of the organization of studying at the graduate school of the University by outlining the main problems and obstacles faced by young scientists in the process of learning and at the beginning of a professional career;
- conducting an interdisciplinary scientific seminar for young scientists of Igor Sikorsky KPI;
- organization and conducting of a seminar on the preparation of a request for a competition for projects of young scientists of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
- cooperation with the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Council of Young Scientists at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as with the Science Park "Kyiv Polytechnic" in the development of the innovation infrastructure of Igor Sikorsky KPI.
According to the Statute of the Council of Young Scientists of Igor Sikorsky KPI, the participants of the general meeting unanimously extended the term of office of the chairman of the Council of Oleg Biletsky for another year. The Presidium of the Council - the deputies and the secretary - was also elected.
