April 6, 2017, the Department of Management of the Faculty of Management and Marketing, of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute led the Eighth All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Approaches to Enterprise Management”. It was devoted to the 25th anniversary of the Faculty of Management and Marketing. The Conference was supported by the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Marketing, the Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor O. A. Gavrysh, and under the direction of the head of the department of management, the Doctor of Economics, professor V. V. Dergachova. The main purpose of the conference was to discuss the current problems of enterprise management in the context of the current trends in the development of the national economy in the global environment.
The grand opening of the conference took place at the G. I. Denysenko National Technical Library. The conference was opened by the Head of the Department of Management, the Doctor of Economics, professor V. V. Dergachova. The national scientists known in the field of economic science declared their speeches at the plenary meeting. For example, V. I. Chuzhykov, the Doctor of Economics, prof., the Vice-rector of the international relations of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University; V. M. Tupkalo, the Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof., the Head of the Department of the Information-Analytical and Innovative Activity of the Kiev Institute of Intellectual Property and Law of the National University “Odessa Law Academy”; I. V. Smolin, the Doctor of Economics, prof., Professor of the Department of Strategy of the enterprises of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University; O. M. Lyashenko, the Doctor of Economics, prof., scientific secretary of the National Institute of Strategic Studies; N. V. Ushenko, the Doctor of Economics, prof., professor of the Department of Economics of the National Aviation University; I. V. Zhyliaiev, the Doctor of Economics, prof., Advisor of the Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The format of the conference, in addition to the plenary session, had the discussion as the part of the work of the sections on four areas: “Innovative and investment provision of crisis management of the enterprises”, “Determinants of the development of international business in the context of global challenges”, “Development of the competitiveness of modern business in conditions of resource constraints”, “Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Domestic and Foreign Experience”. The conference was attended by more than 130 people - specialists, academics from the universities and state institutions of Ukraine and abroad, postgraduate students and students.
Special attention was paid to the scientific and applied aspects of the enterprises management in various sectors and sectors of the economy. The presented results are scientifically substantiated, they contain proposals of non-trivial innovative solutions and management approaches that enterprises are in urgent need of taking into account within current economic trends. The authors of the best reports were awarded with diplomas. According to the results of the conference, a collection of abstracts has been published, numbering 95 publications.
It is worth noting the high organizational and scientific level of the conference, which is explained by the coherence of the work of the organizing committee and the entire staff of the management department. Thus, the results of the Eighth All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Approaches to Enterprise Management” can become the basis for initiating interesting and meaningful scientific discussions on theoretical and practical management problems in an unstable environment.
