Joint research project that implemented young scientists from the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute after Igor Sikorsky", National Technical University 'Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute' and academic institutions - Institute of Electrodynamics of NAS of Ukraine and the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, NAS of Ukraine, was awarded the Prize of the President of Ukraine for young scientists 2016.

Work "Improved energy end consumers through self-regulation," the authors Y.A.Veremiychuk - PhD, senior lecturer in power "KPI after Igor Sikorsky" I.S.Honcharenko - Postgraduate IED NAS of Ukraine, OH .M.Lysenko - Associate fellow Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of NAS of Ukraine, H.I.Cherkashyna - PhD, senior lecturer in power stations NTU "HPI", was launched in early 2016 by NTU " KPI after Igor Sikorsky "for the award of the President of Ukraine for young scientists in 2016.

By submitting joint project authors conducted independent research ways and methods to improve energy efficiency of electricity and heat in their academic institutions. This theme is extremely relevant, since the question of involving electric control end user, including the public, is today one of the most urgent. So after several meetings at international conferences where researchers reported on their findings, it was decided to combine the research in a joint project and submit it for the award of the President of Ukraine for young scientists in 2016

The aim is to study conditions, the development of mechanisms and means of reducing peak daily consumption and reduce energy consumption Night failure due to good management by end users - private municipal power system and individual sector, ie the public. Because the population is extremely powerful energy consumer. To create the proper climate in buildings, providing sanitation needs, cooking for other economic affairs inhabitants of our country annually use up to 55 million tons of fuel for heat and 40 ... 45 billion kW • h. electricity. In view of such large energy consumption areas of municipal power system entities and individual domestic sector, it would be appropriate to encourage and to encourage end-users to control, virtually self-energy systems own power. So the ultimate goal of the project - to increase the efficiency of electricity and heat, enhance energy security.

The results of practical importance are:

- Electricity for Ukraine in general, namely the implementation of management using economic incentives in the formation of differentiated tariffs for the period of time that enables configuration changes to the daily schedule of electric load system depending on factors tariff systems. This approach allows to create the conditions for the formation of new options for differentiated tariffs for the period of time that will ensure reduction in electricity consumption and peak day  zone to 3.6% and 1.7% respectively;

- For heating, namely the effective management of heat consumption allows the end user to save up to 15% of heat consumption in public buildings and in buildings of social and public sector, which in turn leads to savings in primary fuel boiler at 20%.
