Academic Folk Choir KPI twice a year rides with a concerts abroad. This summer, the choir traveled to Romania, where took part in the IV International Festival of Choral Music by Gabriel Muzychesku that was held in Yassi. The aim of the competition is to promote choral singing, especially classical and sacred music among children, young people and a wide range of listeners. The competition was attended by choirs from Romania, Moldova and Ukraine, the student choir of music university, student choir of university without musical training direction, and children, amateur and church groups. Competitive concerts passed in the Opera theater and in municipal recreation Centre. Our choir came forward in the Opera theater.
On the way to Yassi we spend the half of day in the old city Brasov, and then visited the castle of Dracula, which is located near the city, and spent the night in a hostel near the castle. On a reverse way we visited the capital of Moldova - Kishinev. On a competition our choir gained the first place among the students of "unmusical" university of higher learning, with what it is possible to congratulate its participants.
