At present Larysa Sergiyivna Globa is the head of information and communication networks Department of the telecommunication systems Institute, Doctor of Technical Science, the professor, well known not only in the "KPI" but also in the broad scientific communities in Ukraine and in many foreign countries.
And her first "exposure into science" began in remote for us 1981. At that time she, as a young specialist, was working at Kyiv aircraft factory by the assignment of the Kharkiv Aviation Institute, and meanwhile, the young scientist was performing her scientific work in the KPI. And in 1984 Larysa Globa successfully defended her thesis and received the degree of candidate of technical sciences in "Design Automation systems." She defended her Doctoral dissertation in 1996 at the Specialized Academic Council of "KPI". In 2001 she received the academic title of professor in specialty “Automatic Design Systems”
Larysa Globa’s field of research is the development of corporate intelligence production systems, management systems, portal solutions; instruments creating distributed information systems; parallel computing; technologies of informational interaction in this environment, Web-service technologies, Cloud-computing.
L. S. Globa’s scientific achievements, such as development of Computer Aided Design of technological preparation for engineering enterprises, namely for Southern Machine-Building Plant, Tushynskyy Aviation Plant, Kyiv production association n. a. Artem ad others, were introduced in 1993-1996 at Ukrainian enterprises as a part of the National Program "Critical technologies".
Larysa Sergiyivna distinguished herself by active cooperation with MES, she led the creation of legally verified database on all categories of victims of the Chernobyl disaster. These developments have been implemented in the daily activities of MES and in 27 relevant regional offices of State Administration of Ukraine.
L. S. Globa made an important contribution to the series of developments to order of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Ukraine, Ministry of Education, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ministry of housing and communal services of Ukraine.
During 20 years of her educational work in the "KPI" Larysa Sergiyivna has supervised 11 master's and one doctoral dissertation. According to the 2015 summary, Professor L. S. Globa (again!) was among the best teachers- researchers of the "KPI".

"Owing to what do you achieve such significant results in scientific activity?" – I ask Larysa. "I just like working – she answers – moreover, I find it very exciting to communicate with young people, it inspires and stimulates the search for interesting solutions." Another question: "Are you able to combine the scientific work with any other occupations?" - "I have many hobbies – dancing, books, cinema, theater ... Although often work hardly left and leaves time for any other activities."
It should be mentioned that Larysa has raised a charming daughter, who inherited, perhaps, mother’s thirst for creativity and great ability to work – Kseniya graduated from KPI, and now successfully works in IT sphere. On the eve of International Women's Day we wish you, Larysa, strong health, good mood, inspiration and further success in work.
