In far 1952nd restless enthusiasts - students and employees of KPI - united and created tourist club in which and to this day travelers romantics gather. Under its aegis thousands of campaigns were carried out, is subordinated tens of thousands of tops, is passable millions of kilometers. Now those who cut down at sources of club, have ranks of Honoured Masters of Sports and still support the tourist movement, but already as heads of tourist federations.
And everything began with Vladimir Romanovich Grosh's initiative creation of section of tourism of KPI and announcements with a characteristic owl at an entrance to the case No. 1 who connected adherents as now it does the site of tkg.org.ua club (vk.com/club1332388). In the 50th under the leadership of the talented trainer Vladimir Saratovtsev it was carried out to one hundred campaigns a year. Over time the tourist movement I got distribution, and the section couldn't meet all requirements of tourists any more. in 1963 the club which was headed by Sergey Shmigovsky was organized. The sports center of KPI in the Caucasus which since 1964 was a cradle of sports skill for many generations of polytechnicians enjoyed wide popularity. But the 1990th came unpredictable, the quantity of campaigns decreased, it was necessary to refuse camp in the Caucasus though locals still remember капеишникив and wait for them on old and new routes. Over time at the initiative of Yury Ivanovich Tanygin the similar camp in the Carpathians was open; by means of Yury Makarovich Vashchenko - the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR, the traveler, famous in Ukraine, - revived activity of club. By efforts of Alexey Calin, Artem Sokolov, Dmitry Shapovalov and their adherents it was developed and it is spread the site of tourist club, round activists young and skilled tourists who dream mountains and neskhodzhenima routes rallied, there are club actions, a practical training, etc. where travelers not from all city are flown down.
Today in club more than 300 people students, graduate students, teachers of university actively are engaged. Each of them can try the hand in mountain, foot, bicycle or ski tourism. Clubmen organized school of tourist preparation for beginners and skilled tourists, competitions on superiority of KPI and Kiev are regularly carried out the tourist festival "Driving Fall". Well-known and our teams which present to NTUU "KPI" in Ukraine and abroad. Groups on tourist KPI club lifted flags of Ukraine and club at tops of the Alps, the Caucasus, Altai, Pamir and other mountain systems. Coaches of club brought up already new generation of masters and candidates for the Master of Sports of Ukraine. Annually "globusyat" hold competition of reports, a photo contest and other actions which are prestigious for participants and enjoy invariable popularity.
Last year clubmen carried out more than 50 campaigns of various categories of complexity and types of tourism which geography begins in the Carpathians and to the Crimea and covers the mountain systems of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Europe. Participants of a campaign Altai under the leadership of Elena Tregubova carried out pathfinding of several tops and called one of them in honor of the 60 anniversary of "Globe". Tourists cyclists visited monuments of culture and history of Poland and Italy. The Traverse team adequately protected honor of our club at the international search and rescue works competitions to Bryansk (Russia), having taken the second place. Is in the history of club and a victory at All-Ukrainian competitions in equipment foot and mountaineering in 2008 and 2009. The first place at All-Ukrainian competition of campaigns in 2009 for a campaign of the fifth category of complexity Mountains Pamir under the leadership of Alexey Calin and in 2010 for "six" Tien Shan Oleg Yanchevsky. Six clubmen were entitled Masters of Sports of Ukraine.
Celebrations on the occasion of the 60 anniversary of club will take place on February 24 in a recreation center of NTUU "KPI".
