From 19 to 22 may in Sumy, Sumy state University (SSU) was held the final round of all-Ukrainian Olympiad in mathematics in technical universities. For the second time SSU successfully host the Olympics, which the planning is conducted in may each year.

This year in the final stage involved more than 60 students from leading technical universities of Ukraine. A team of NTUU "KPI" was the winners of the first round of all-Ukrainian Olympiad, which was held in March this year the Department of mathematical analysis and probability theory. Team executives were employees of the Department Assoc. I. V. Orlovsky and AC. V. V. Pavlenkov.

In the final of the all-Ukrainian contest 2015 participants from KPI showed, as always, good results:

– in the category M (this category refers to students who are studying in disciplines that require in-depth study of mathematics).In. Michael's (IASA, 3rd course) took first place, K. Matveev (IASA, 2nd course) – third place (out of competition);
– in the category T (this category includes students of technical specialties).In.Kolesnik (FEL, 1st course) – the first place. And, Fomenko (FICE, 1st year) – second place. In.Dzyuba (FICE, 1st course) – third place (out of competition).

Important role in the preparation and attraction of talented youth to the Olympic movement plays a student group "Non-standard and Olympiad problems of algebra and analysis", who worked for many years at the Department of mathematical analysis and probability theory. Direct the group assistant professors A. Would. Ilyenko and I. V. Orlovsky. During the classes they teach students to think outside the box and prepare them for successful performance in math competitions.

Congratulations to the winners of all-Ukrainian mathematical Olympiad 2015 and wish them continued success in study, scientific work and in performances at competitions of the highest level!
