T.V.Putyata was born December 17, 1905 in Kiev. In 1921 she was enrolled in the Higher Institute of Education (now - Kyiv Taras Shevchenko State University). Along with training she began her labor activity. In 1925 she graduated from KSU. In 1930-1932 she was working as Assistant Professor of Theoretical Mechanics KPI. In 1931- she post-graduated the Department of Theoretical Mechanics, under the leadership of Acad. D.O.Grave. In 1932-1961she was the Associate Professor. In 1941-1943, during the evacuation of the KPI (then Kiev Industrial Institute) in Tashkent she was lecturing for executives of industrial enterprises. In 1962-1986 she works as Professor. Since 1986 she was working on the conditions for staff-time - consulted, took part in scientific, organizational, and methodological activities of the Institute. In 1962-1977 she was the Head of the Department of Theoretical Mechanics.
T.V. Putyata prepared 10 candidates of sciences, she authored 174 scientific and methodical works, including 8 monographs, 4 textbooks, 4 manuals stamped Ministry of Higher Education.
T.V. Putyata led a very active social activity. For many years, including during the evacuation in Tashkent, she was chairman of the trade union committee of the institute. She was repeatedly elected deputy of the City Council of Kiev.
During the 14 years she was the chairman of the methodical commission on theoretical mechanics at the Ministry of Higher Education of Ukraine and a member of the Scientific and Methodological Council at the Ministry of Higher Education of the USSR.
