On the 25th of March the open students mathematic Olympiad took place in NTUU “KPI”. This event is annually held by the collective of the chair of the mathematic analysis and probability theory within the framework of the first stage of the Ukrainian students Olympiad on the mathematic for students, which study in high educational institutions.
More than 300 students from different courses from 17 faculties and institutes took part in this Olympiad. The most numerous groups of students were sent from: Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering, Institute of Special Communication and Information Protection, Radio Technical faculty, faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Institute of Applied Systems Analysis and faculty of Electronics.
The Olympiad is traditionally held in two categories: for students of first year of study and for the older students. Among the students of the first year of study, the best results has Alexander Kolesnik (FEL, gr. DP-41); the second places went to Dmitriy Kharchenko (IASA, gr. KA-45) and Vlad Dziuba (FICE, gr. IP-42), the third place was shared by Catherine Mnuhina (IASA, gr. KA-41) and Vladimir Fomenko (FICE, gr. IP-42). On the senior courses the first place went to Elisha Bondarenko (IASA, gr.KA-21), the second results had Valentine Onischuk (IASA, gr.KA-41m) and the third place was shared by Vyacheslav Komisarenko (IASA, gr.KA-31) and Dmitri Voloshin (IASA, gr.KA-32).
On the 8th of April the winners were ceremoniously awarded diplomas and premium edition collection of mathematical Olympiad exercises. The awards were granted by the first pro-rector of NTUU “KPI” Yu.I.Yakymenko. He congratulated on the winners and wished them new achievements and success in forward competitions and scientific work. For creative achievements and the best results on this Olympiad in this year the Prize. prof. V.V.Buldyhina. was awarded. The winners were Alexander Kolesnik (FEL) and Elisha Bondarenko (IASA), who got the diplomas and commemorative medals. The winners were warmly congratulated on by N.O.Pidsuha, Buldyhin’s widow.

[25/03/2015] Open Olympiad in Mathematics NTUU "KPI"
The open competition on mathematics NTUU "KPI" (Olympiad) in frames of the first round of Ukrainian Olympiad in mathematics for universities students in Ukraine will be held in March25, 2015 (Wednesday).
The Olympics will be held in two shifts in the classrooms of the 7th Building: № 101 (14.30 - 18.30, first-year students), № 105 (14.30 - 18.30, senior students), № 103 (16.15-20.15, first-year students), № 107 (16.15 - 20.15, senior students).
According to the results of the Olympiad, there will be formed teams of NTUU "KPI" to participate in the second round of Ukrainian Olympiad.Invited students from all faculties of the university are invited.
