March 3 scientists and developers of new technology NTUU "KPI" and its partner organizations met with the leadership of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom."
This is the second meeting in the last three weeks. During the first, which took place on February 11, representatives of the Concern only started to be familiar with the capabilities of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute promptly and at the present level to create new systems and products of military and defense purposes, and saw some developments on this topic. The current meeting was devoted to a very specific question of setting a number of developments in production.
The meeting was attended by the General Director of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom" Roman Romanov and his deputies, first deputy chairman of the Committee on Science and Education of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Spivakovsky, Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, the founder of the Foundation of Academician V.Mihalevich Mykola Petrenko, Deputy Director of Research Institute of Electric of E.O. Paton NAS academician Igor Krivtsun, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Meridian" of S.P. Korolev Vyacheslav Protsenko, Rector of NTUU "KPI" NAS academician Michael Zgurovsky, Director of Intellectual Property Scientific park "Kyiv Polytechnic" Yaroslav Kologrivov, deans and heads of university research and design teams working on product development and special systems destination, and others. That is, in the same room there meet together developers, coordinators and organizers of production, industry representatives and academics - in short, all those who influence the level and quality of Ukrainian military equipment.
Three weeks passed since the last meeting. This time was not lost for the university staff. New presentation showed that while expressed comments and suggestions for improving the design were taken into account. Therefore, advanced domestic drones, new durable and much easier than foreign sixth grade body armor protection, mobile and stationary water treatment plants, etc. may soon come to fighters in the area ATO.
The participants of the meeting discussed not only the development of employees KPI. It presented projects of the scientists of the Institute of Electric of E.O. Paton, who work closely with the engineers of the university. Incidentally, the production capacity of the IEP can be used for the manufacture of certain products, which were discussed during the meeting.
Meeting showed: academic and university science in collaboration with industry and with the support of the state is quite capable of providing most of the needs of our armed forces. And in the future – to find its place in the world market. However, it is only the preparatory stage for implementing proposed projects. What will be next is depending on the interest and willingness of the parties to the hard work.
