Kyiv Polytechnics honor their heroes

Kyiv Polytechnics celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Day of Dignity and Freedom. Today, more than two hundred Kyiv Polytechnicians are fighting back the enemy at the front.

Nine years ago, on February 18, the fiercest confrontations between security forces and Maidan participants started in the center of Kyiv, which they call the final stage of the Revolution of Dignity.

The Day of Dignity and Freedom

This holiday marks two revolutions — the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity of 2014, and is extremely important for Ukrainians.

In Remembrance of Vadym Zherebylo

Vadym studied at the Faculty of Welding of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity.

In Remembrance of Volodymyr Kochetkov-Sukach

Volodymyr studied at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute during 1988-1994.

He took an active part in the Revolution of Dignity and Automaidan. He was among the first volunteers of the "Autobots" who resisted separatists in Mariupol. He fought in the Azov Battalion for about two months.

Day of Dignity and Freedom!

Every year, when nature freezes in the autumn chill and prepares for a long sleep, our anxious hearts are filled with painful memories of the horrible November of 2004 and 2013. At that time, our answer was a resounding "no" to untruth, injustice, humiliation, and lawlessness.
