Every time preparing materials for certain research and development performed in the CPI, to be amazed by the variety of directions and themes. That people know about cavitator? A small group of experts, and possibly motorists. But scientists of the department of applied fluid mechanics and mehanotroniky MMI, together with colleagues from RTF under the guidance of Ph.D., professor O.F.Luhovskoho 5 years exploring cavitator flow for handling liquids. The device allows you to disinfect wastewater, drinking water, environmental technology and more. Development refers to reagentless decontamination technologies designed to improve the environmental safety of industrial plants and sanitary conditions of human life.

The energy is concentrated in cavitator used for rapid mechanical destruction of biological objects that are found in the fluid, due to the local increase in temperature, pressure, formation of cumulative jets and free radicals. Developed by scientists of KPI ultrasonic flow cavitator allows you to enter the liquid, unlike known prototypes, ultrasonic energy intensity of more than 100 W / cm3. So the device can be used for handling fluids in the flow when you have a short time inactivate harmful microorganisms.

Practical application of the developed KPI cavitation equipment provides disinfection of water in open water, the disintegration of microorganisms, increase durability and security lubricating fluids, as confirmed acts Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Microbiology and Virology, NAS and OJSC "Reductor-PM."

The proposed installation companies find implementation in light, heavy and food industry, agriculture, medicine, pharmacy and others. On the international level work is the fact that it was presented to the United Nations headquarters and the headquarters of the international organization «South-South» (International Organization for South-South Cooperation - IOSSC) in New York (USA).

The novelty of the work and the results are set out in 38 scientific works, including 14 in the periodic specialized professional journals. Ukraine received 2 patents for invention and utility model 5.

Young scientists developers Igor Grishko - PhD, senior lecturer in applied fluid mechanics and mehanotroniky and Andrey Novosad - Assistant Department of radio and of radio equipment for the work awarded the President of Ukraine for young scientists. Following the competition I.A.Hryshka university recognized as the best young teachers and researchers - 2014. Awards will be a good incentive for further professional growth, continued research and future discoveries.
