On September, 4 in the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of the KPI was held a solemn ceremony of awarding the diploma “Honorary Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, a mantle and a memorial sign to the famous Polish scientist, rector of the Warsaw Polytechnic Jan Schmidt.

On September 4 the solemn opening of the reconstructed and refurbished fountain took place at KPI Museum Square in front of the monument of the KPI Professor, academician Eugene Paton.

 On the 30th of September a traditional holiday "freshman day" was hold in KPI.  Almost 5000 girls and boys took part in the ceremony of dedication.

On July 28, the 5th Economic Forum of Ukraine-Korea "Economic Cooperation in the Context of Euro-Asian Integration" was held at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute n.a. Igor Sikorsky".

July 20, Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine, visited the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".

The grand closing ceremony of rewarding the winners of the 12th international programming student contest n.a. S. O. Levedev and V.M. Glushkov “KPI-OPEN 2017” took place in Hall of Scientific Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytecnnic Institute on the 7th of July.

In June, 7 a delegation of ambassadors of foreign countries concurrently accredited in Ukraine visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute.

Ukraine in 2030: how it can look like? How to be one of developed countries? Which reforms are necessary for that and what is their main purpose? In a word, which development model do we have to choose?

In May, 25 XV All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference of students, postgraduates and young scientists “Theoretical and applied problems of physics, mathematics and informatics” started its work in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute.

On the occasion of 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Japan and Ukraine in terms of Year of Japan in Ukraine a sakura alley was planted onsite National technical university of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute” on 12 April.
