In November NTUU "KPI" specialists participated in two major industrial exhibitions.
From November 18 to November 21, 2014, the XIII International Industrial Forum devoted to the development of scientific and industrial potential of engineering field was held at the International Exhibition Center in Kiev. The forum was held by order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and included special industrial exhibitions in the field of metal, machinery and related industries, as well as a broad program of scientific and practical conferences, seminars, presentations of participants.
In fact, it is - the biggest in Ukraine industrial exhibition with accompanying events recorded in the International Association of Exhibition Industry (UFI), which is the highest level of international recognition for the exhibition. The participants were the leading industrial enterprises from Ukraine, CIS and abroad. To participate in it, the organizers are traditionally invited NTUU "KPI". Among the developments, demonstrated by our university, which caused the largest interest of the visitors were the following.
The compact milling machine of the portal layout with computer control. It can be used in engineering, jewelry and souvenir industries, in the manufacture of circuit boards by engraving, promotional products, as well as for milling modeling wax, wood, plastic, PCB, bronze, duralumin. His drive is frequency-controlled and air-cooled, as well as equipped with limit switches inductive type (department of design tools and machines IME, developers - prof. Y.M. Kuznetsov, a graduate student O.O.Stepanenko).
The technology of laser thermal-strengthening products. Combined laser technology and high-speed local heating with the process of mechanical plastic deformation provides a reinforced surface layers in various responsible products (aircraft, turbine engines, compressors, automotive equipment).
The technology of surface modification under chemical-thermal processing. Using sequential technology combined laser modification of the structure of the surface layers of steel, followed by chemical and thermal treatment, it provides a significant increase in the thickness of the diffusion layers in steel products (5-6 times during nitriding), reducing the duration of the process, and improves their phase composition, structure, and basic properties.
Both were developed at the Department of laser technology and the physical and technical technology IME. Developers - Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. L.F.Golovko, Assoc. Professor A.K.Skuratovsky, assistants - candidates of technical sciences A. D. Kaglyak and O.O.Goncharuk).
The technology of repair armored vehicles using welding with electromagnetic actions (Department of electric welding units of the Welding Faculty, developers - Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. R.M.Rizhov, Assoc. P.Yu.Sidorenko).
The technology of obtaining permanent joints of dissimilar materials engineering details of special purpose (Department of Surface Engineering of Welding Faculty, the developers - Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. V.D.Kuznetsov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. V.V.Kvasnitsky).
Of course, other developments of NTUU "KPI" were presented in the exhibition too.
Another interesting exhibition, which was attended by the Kiev Polytechnic, became II Specialized Exhibition "Ecology of enterprise". It was held 4-7 November 2014 under the theme "Resource conservation, recycling, ecology". Among the exhibits, there were micro-inverter (developer - Doctor of Technical Sciences prof. Yu.M.Tuz, SRI AER); electrochemical sensors (developer - Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. A.V. Linyuchova, FCT); new organo-mineral fertilizers (developer - Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof.
