In May Folk Academic Choir KPI participated in the international festival of choral music, which was held in a small French town Gerzat, located a few kilometers north of Clermont-Ferrand - the capital of the Auvergne region. We crossed almost the whole of Europe by bus. From Kiev we headed to Prague, where we enjoyed the architecture of the city through the whole day. Then, through Switzerland, the Swiss Alps, the city of Basel and Zurich, our bus ride in the direction of Lyon, and then another 60 kilometers - and we have in place.

The festival was also attended by choirs from Hungary, Czech Republic, France and Guadeloupe - only six teams. During the four days we have given six concerts. Our choir performed spiritual works, classics and folk songs. On the last day all participants in a combined chorus (about 200 people) sang with the orchestra the film music of famous Italian composer Ennio Morricone and the popular, modern songs. It sounded wonderfully! On the way back we had a day in Paris (Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame de Paris, Champs Elysees, Louvre) and a day in Vienna - almost all the time in the old town.

Returned tired but happy. Many wonderful experiences, new friends from the choirs of different countries. In conclusion, I want to reach out to students: come to our rehearsals, sing and travel! Rehearsals are held twice a week - on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19.00 to 21.00 in the Large chemical aud. 4th building.
