From 20 to 22 January 2014, starting meeting of the consortium TEMPUS project "Network for the development of continuous training in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine (LeAGUe)» 543839-TEMPUS-1-2013-1 - SE-TEMPUS-SMHES, which is funded by the European Union, with the active participation of the Ministries of Education and Science of Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia was held at Linneaus University (Vackho, Sweden).

The overall objective of the project is to improve the problems of unemployment and lack of innovation due to the gap between labor market needs and skills of the workforce. Activities under this project involve working with universities and other educational institutions at the national level, focusing on the development of programs for lifelong learning LLL providing for an increase of knowledge and skills of individuals and the continuous training of the workforce.

The meeting was  attended by over 50 participants from Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Denmark, Portugal and Sweden, the National Agrarian University of Armenia, Gavarsky National University (Armenia), Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, Vandzorsky State Pedagogical Institute of  A. Tumanyan (Armenia), the Armenian league continuous training, Ilia State University (Georgia), Telavi State University of  Gogebashvili (Georgia), University of Georgia, Georgia Association of Adult Education, Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics (Ukraine), National Technical University of Ukraine "KPI", Odessa National Polytechnic University (Ukraine), Kiev National University. Shevchenko (Ukraine), the Danish Technical University (Denmark), University of Coimbra (Portugal), University of Ruse (Bulgaria).

На зустрічі обговорювалися : поточна ситуація, проблеми і перспективи в галузі LLL у Вірменії , Грузії та України. Європейські партнери представили результати і поділилися досвідом у даній сфері.

За результатами зустрічі було затверджено план робіт на 2014-2015 рр.

The meeting focused on: current situation, problems and prospects in the field of LLL in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. European partners presented the results and shared their experiences in this field.

 Following the meeting, work plan for 2014-2015 was approved.
