Олександр СтепаненкоJunior Researcher of construction machines and machines of IME Alexander Stepanenko this year was awarded with a scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists. Alexander came to the recognition the long way designated with parent blessing, creative inspiration and wise leadership of his mentors.

Alexander was born in Kherson - the glorious city of seafarers and builders. It would seem, that boy does not dream of traveling. Sasha grew up in an artistic family: his father is an architect and artist, mother is a teacher of mathematics and Ukrainian poet. From the very childhood he had a love for creativity and later he himself felt incredible joy when toys he made himself began to work.

The desire to create led Alexander to Kherson National Technical University to study engineering. The university has given impetus for the disclosure of actively growing desire to design and create something new. On the fourth year he began the first attempts to create machines. Subsequently, it became clear that this is what will be the subject of studies bachelor's and master dissertations.
Professor Alexander Sasha, who became scientific director of his master's work, accompanied a guy on the thorny path of science.

While protecting the thesis Alexander met his new coach - Professor of IME Yuri N. Kuznetsov, who was chairman of the State Certification Commission. Yuri Nikolaevich immediately felt the talent in science and engineering work of a young student and offered to cooperate.
So the years of extensive scientific research began. Under the leadership of Y.M.Kuznetsov Alexander entered the graduate school of "KPI" and took his place in his creative team, which operates under the fundamental scientific school innovation machine tools. As the slogan of prof. Kuznetsov as a scientist - is being able to "think with hands ", then immediately found a common language. Creativity of Alexander, who sought the creation and study of new machines layouts got fertile ground development and creative growth. Today PhD thesis "Synthesis of small computer-controlled milling machines" by O.O.Stepanenka is recommended for protection, which is scheduled for autumn 2014.

During the period of study for graduate Alexander Stepanenko was the author of 35 scientific works, including 13 articles, 10 patents of Ukraine for inventions and utility models, applications for three industrial designs and one application for an invention, a certificate of copyright registration right to scientific work; participated in 8 international scientific conferences and in 2011 Alexander had a two-week internship at TU Gabrovo (Bulgaria). In 2012, two months internship at the University Otto fon Gerica in Magdeburg (Germany) in the same year successfully completed training in the summer school at the University Carlos III. Scientific activity Alexander has not only theoretical, but also finds practical implementation. He designed and manufactured three new operating milling machines generation computer-controlled surface treatment of complex configuration. Except addition, a modular "designer", which collected from 10 different layouts machines including parallel kinematics, which were further investigated, and patented used in the educational process. Developed machines were exhibitedat the international specialized exhibitions. Lessons learned and scientific perception of reality Alexander Stepanenko tries transfer students in laboratory works created with his participation research laboratory of innovation.
