The ХІІІ International Scientific Conference “Scientific and Technological Development: Economics, Technologies, Management” took place on April 9-11, 2014, at the Faculty of Management and Marketing (FMM). Among the organizers of the conference were NTUU “KPI” and the Scientific Association of Students and Postgraduates of the Faculty of Management and Marketing. The participants of the conference could take part in five sections: “Management”, “Enterprise Economics”, “International Economic Activities”, “Marketing” and “Mathematical Methods and Informational Technologies in Economics”.
This year, 148 participants from 10 different universities and organizations of Ukraine, Austria and Germany submitted their abstracts and reports. Among them were representatives from leading Ukrainian and foreign universities and institutions of higher learning – State University “Institute of Economics and Forecasting of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”, NTUU “KPI”, National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, Y. Buhay International Science and Technology Institute, Bohdan Khmelnitsky National Institute of Cherkassy, Karl and Franz University of Graz (Austria), Friedrich Schiller University (Germany).
The conference was inaugurated in the Scientific Council Session Room. The participants were greeted by O.V. Zozulyov, FMM's Vice Dean of Scientific Work, and S.O. Tulchynska, S.V. Voytko, M.O. Baz, representatives of the program committee. The participants' attention was attracted to the reports by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of Department of Management O.F. Morozov - “Strategic Socially-Oriented Balanced Business System”; and by Doctor of Economics Sciences, Professor of the Department of International Economics S.V. Voytko's “On Determining the Status of the Countries and Forecasting the Future on Basis of Integral Indexes”.
On April 11 the results of the conference were summarized, and the best speakers were awarded honorary diplomas and prizes from the Obolon' Company, FMM's long-standing partner. It is worth mentioning that the participants' geography and their scope of scientific interests widen by the year, and their scientific papers become more and more profound and original. The organizers of the conference thank everyone for their cooperation and hope for the conference's ongoing development.
