On May, 23 experts from International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (USA) Stephen McLaughlin and Steven Weber, and Coordinator of Agency U.S. from International Development Tamara Palyvoda visited NTUU "KPI". They came to Ukraine to monitor and evaluate the activities of the Alliance project of assistance and external testing in Ukraine (Alliance USETI).
The meeting was attended by the Rector of NTUU "KPI", Academician of NAS of Ukraine Michael Zgurovsky , Vice-Chancellor of the University , Academician of NAS of Ukraine Yuriy Yakymenko , Vice-Rector for International Relations, a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Sergey Sydorenko , executive secretary of the Selection Committee of NTUU " KPI " Valery Mozharovsky and employees from relevant departments . The main task of the Alliance USETI is to assist Ukraine in establishing a system of independent evaluation and a new system of entering the higher education institutions and the donor - the U.S. Agency for International Development under the great Program of countries Corporation " Millennium Challenge ", so the questions that were interesting to visitors, were related to the course of reforming the educational sector of Ukraine. Participants also discussed the conceptual basis of Ukrainian higher education and some specific issues are worth paying attention to, updating and improving the system of training in universities.
