In July, 2013, the European Commission selected for funding the project "Atlantic Caucasus Technical universities Initiative for Valuable Education" - ACTIVE, in which our university is co-coordinator with the Warsaw Polytechnic. The project is rated at 4 years, like its predecessor - EWENT, which ends next year.

The European Union is Ersamus Mundus mobility program in higher education and focuses on the harmonization of technical higher schools of Eastern and Western Europe. One way of this process is the exchange for teaching and training of students, postgraduate students, workers and lecturers.

The partners of project ACTIVE were 20 universities: from the European Union - 8, Belarus - 2, Armenia – 1, Georgia – 2, Moldova -1 and Ukraine - 6. Warsaw Polytechnic is the main coordinator of the project, the Central School of Nantes (France), Czech Technical University, Dublin Institute of Technology (Ireland), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary), University of the Basque Country (Spain), University of Trento (Italy), University of Southampton (Great Britain), Belarusian National Technical University, Brest State technical University, University of Yerevan (Armenia), Georgian Aviation University and Georgian Technical University, Technical University of Moldova, National Technical University of Ukraine "KPI" - co-coordinator of the project, Donetsk National technical University, National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute", Zhytomyr State technical University, Sevastopol National Technical University, National Aviation University.

Term of study or training is from 1 semester to 3 years. However, based on the conditions of financing the project, the host university prefers students and postgraduate (doctoral) who wish to study at least 1 year.
The selection of candidates for the grant is realized according to rating and consists of two parts: the evaluation of the candidate (student) of the base University and assessment that gives the host university on the analysis provided by the candidate documents: extract from mark book of success (for students), motivation letter to set out his/her vision of participation in the project, references from professor of the basic University (for postgraduate students), work plan in the host university (for employees), language certificate.
Learning language according to program of project is English, but the host university provides an advantage to candidates who speak the language of the country of the university. To take into consideration the experience of the project EWENT, candidates will undergo an additional on-line test from English.

On November, 12 our University hosted a seminar for students and workers who wish to participate in this project. With information on the conditions of participation in the project, the experience of receiving grants for education and training on a similar project EWENT made a speech and answered on numerous questions the Dean of the Faculty of aviation and space systems prof. O.Zbrutskyy - Project Coordinator of "KPI" , and a representative of the Warsaw University of Technology Z.Shits . They noted in their reports that participation in the project is realistic, informed that in the current project EWENT has today received grants 20 representatives of our university. The first set of participants in the project ACTIVE launched in December 2013 and will be completed in March-April 2014. It is expected that at this stage will be offered 147 grants to participants.
