On March 12, 2018, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the University took place.
It began with the greetings of the jubilians: the director of the Educational and Methodical Complex “Institute of Postgraduate Education”, Ph.D., associate professor I.G. Malyukova, dean of the Faculty of Aviation and Space Systems, D.Sc., professor O.V. Zbrutskyi and the initials Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor S.P. Gozhiy.
Also, the following were awarded with the Honorary Diploma of the Academic Council of the Igor Sikorsky KPI for a significant contribution to the results of the scientific and organizational activities of the University in 2017: head of department of physics of power systems of the FTI A.A. Halatov, head of the department of Applied Mathematics of FPM O.R. Chertov, director of the NTO “KPI-Telecom” A.M. Ilyashenko, head of Department of informational support of education and research of STL E.V. Kulik, Engineer MMI A.O. Rybakov and the leading engineer of the research institute NDI E.V. Rudakov.
The first issue of the agenda was the report of the first vice-rector of the University Yu.I. Yakimenko on the results of the University's academic work in 2017. Yuriy Ivanovych noted that the priority task in today's conditions is to provide high-quality, competitive education at all its levels with a combination of fundamental education and practical training based on the principles of determining innovative component and modern forms and technologies of training. In addition, he gave the dynamics and general characteristics of admission to the university over the past 6 years and the results of the division of structural units by the integrated indicator of admission. Also, issues of the system of pre-university training, incoming rector's control, general level of professional training of graduates of the Igor Sikorsky KPI and stages of innovative training model.
The next was a report by vice-rector P.O. Kyrychok about the results of educational work at the university for 2017 year. Petro Oleksiyovych provided information on scholarship, the results of the certification of students of the I-IV courses, the results of the students' assessing of the summer and winter sessions and the dynamics of deductions. Winners of the competition for the best academic group were announced, he also talked about the dynamics of the number of participants in academic mobility programs. In addition, all the results of educational, organizational, social and cultural-mass work were highlighted.
After that, with the analysis of financial and economic activity at the university in 2017 and the approval of the budget for 2018, the head of the DEF L.G.Subbotina made a statement. Lyudmila Grygorivna provided information on the budget execution of the University in 2017, the receipt of general and special funds and the structure of revenues for services in the field of education, science, culture, and social affairs in 2017. There were also reports of divisions that executed the revenue plan in 2017, and those divisions that increased and which reduced the index of quality of development in 2017, and the structure of the use of special fund funds, the structure of communal costs and implementation information plan for current and major repairs. In addition, the head of the DEF presented the Igor Sikorsky KPI budget in 2018, that is, the consolidated budget, the structure of the formation of the special fund and the structure of general fund expenditures.
Finally, the competition issues and current affairs were heard, in particular the question of consolidation of the specialty 231 Social work at the Department of Philosophy, the issue of recommending the publication of periodicals, as well as the issue of amending the Regulations on the Academic Council of the University and the Regulations on the election of scientific and pedagogical workers.
