On January 22, 2018, the Deputy Director of the Institute of Applied Systems Analysis from the scientific and pedagogical work - Professor Victor Demidovich Romanenko celebrated his 80th birthday.
In 1966 he graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and received the qualification of "engineer-electrician". Since 1972 V.D. Romanenko has been working at the Igor Sikorsky KPI, in particular since 1997, as Deputy Director of the Educational-Scientific Complex "Institute of Applied System Analysis" Igor Sikorsky KPI, was a dean of the Institute of System Studies of the ESC "IASA"; Deputy Head of the Department of Mathematical Methods of System Analysis (since 1988). V.D. Romanenko is a doctor of technical sciences, professor, honored worker of science and technology of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in science and technology (1999), Honored teacher of Igor Sikorsky KPI, "Excellence in Education" of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Ukraine; author of more than 200 scientific works, 2 monographs, 1 textbook, 2 textbooks with a stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and 20 certificates of inventions. V.D. Romanenko is a laureate of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute Prize (1998).
In the field of automation of control systems V.D. Romanenko has prepared 2 doctors and 5 candidates of sciences. At the Department of Mathematical Methods of System Analysis IASA Igor Sikorsky KPI actively participated in the introduction of training in new specialties: "System analysis and management", "Systems and methods of decision-making", "Intelligent decision-making systems" and specializations: "System analysis of the financial market", "Intelligent data analysis in project management", "Artificial Intelligence Systems ".
Viktor Demidovych - Member of the Expert Council on Informatics, Cybernetics and Instrumentation of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine; Chairman of the subcommittee of the specialty "System Analysis" of the Scientific and Methodological Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Member of two specialized councils for the defense of doctoral dissertations in the Igor Sikorsky KPI.
Professor V.D. Romanenko enjoys a well-deserved reputation in the team, respects among scientists, teachers, staff and students of the university, fruitfully works, has a reserve of creative forces for the search and solving of educational and scientific issues.
