KPI Library is open to partnership and is ready to support educational initiatives. So in 2016 cooperation with nationwide educational fund BrainBasket started. It deals with the development of education in the IT sector in Ukraine. By 2020, Fund plans to contribute to the preparation of 100 000 new IT specialists who can get the job in the most prestigious companies of the world. It can provide about 10 billion dollars of export earnings. Thus BrainBasket tries to make the IT industry a driving force of economic growth in the country. For this purpose Fund created a series of free educational projects open to all comers. Places for training are often libraries, including the library of KPI n. a. Igor Sikorsky. One of the projects implemented in our library is a free course on the basics of programming Technology Nation, which is based on the curriculum of the most prestigious universities - Harvard, Stanford and MIT. Trainees have the opportunity to learn the basics of the most popular programming languages (C, Python, JavaScript, HTML / CSS) under the guidance of an experienced mentor. Classes are held in the form of blended learning, which allows students to learn independently lectures and acquire practical knowledge in the classroom with the teacher. Now at the library of KPI n. a. Igor Sikorsky a project with IT education for children Technology Nation Kids has started. It is based on the British initiative CodeClub courses and is designed for audiences aged 9 to 11 years. The course focuses on teaching children a visual programming language, basics of HTML / CSS and Python. Classes are held in the form of a game and help students develop analytical thinking. Mentors are experts of Technology Nation, and tutors are professionals from advanced schools. To become students of these sets, you must be willing to learn and to register the selected project (more details on the Foundation's website - https://brainbasket.org).

Also in cooperation BrainBasket Foundation gave the Library of KPI n. a. Igor Sikorsky 9 modern powerful computers on which everyone can work in a hall №9 (4th floor).
