On March 16 there was Memorandum agreement of cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute and “Vega Telecom” company.
Telecommunication group “Vega Telecom” is one of the leading operators on telecommunication market of Ukraine. It owns national distribution network and occupies leading places on the market of landline telephone communications, broadband Internet access and data transmission. At present “Vega Telecom” provides service to more than 441 000 telephony subscribers and more than 156 400 users who have Internet access in 22 regions of Ukraine. Executive management of telecommunication group Vega Telecom is carried out by PJSC “Farlep-Invest”.
The document committed to writing intentions of parties towards their further cooperation and its goals. Rector of the university, academician of Ukrainian NAS Mykhailo Zgurovsky and director of company’s business support department Aliona Motovylova put their signatures to the memorandum agreement.
On behalf of “Vega Telecom” company – director of communications service provider department Yurii Shcherbyna, strategy director Hennadii Horiev, head of corporate communication department Kateryna Braha and top HR-manager Olena Yermolenko took part in ceremony signing; on behalf of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute – pro-rector for research work of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute, chief research officer of Institute of telecommunication system of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute, academician of Ukrainina NAS Mykhailo Ilchenko, first deputy head of ITS Valerii Pravylo, head of Department of Telecommunication systems of the university Leonid Uryvsky, head of Department of Information and Telecommunication networks Larysa Hloba and associate professor of Department of Telecommunications Dmytro Minochkin.
“Telecommunications is one of the relevant lines of modern and future technologies development. Thus, our company has been carrying out innovative policy for a year and a half. We are starting cooperation with such famous telecommunication giants as «Ericsson», «Huawei», «Microsoft». But we realize that it is the youth of Ukraine that will create future. The young people that are university students, - stressed Aliona Motovylova before ceremony signing. – It is a great honor for us to work with you and build mutually beneficial relations in terms of studying management. All our students will be able to do practical training in our company, acquire new skills and abilities as well as work on particular project, upgrade with us our network etc”.
Thus, in the course of cooperation lines discussion it was agreed that one of these lines will be training and internship organization in subdivisions of telecommunication students group of National technical university of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute”. According to Kateryna Braha, “Vega Telecom” being a company that is interested in innovative decisions implementation provides the most favorable conditions for young specialists capture. Among others, the company provides internship for subject matter students with further employment. Traditionally, this period lasts for three months, herewith starting with second one, students receive nearly one thousand UAH per year. In case of successful traineeship and free vacancy – students are offered a job position. “Vega Telecom” provides all its employees with official employment.
Among other cooperation lines discussed by participants of ceremony signing - modernization of the content of curriculum and training programs for telecommunications study area, establishing partner relationship in innovative activity etc.
