On April 2nd the NTUU ‘KPI’ authorities, Scientific Part ‘Kyiv Politekhnika’ employees, and the representatives of enterprises comprised of the Innovative and manufacturing platform ‘Kyiv Politekhnika Union’ met the quests from the Zone of economic and technological development of Linyi, Shandong Province (PRC) at NTUU ‘KPI’.
The delegation was headed by the associate of the Municipal Public Committee of Linyi, director of the Administrative Committee and the secretary of the Party Labour Committee of the Zone of economic and technological development of Linyi, Sui Futian and Van Luan Bao, the ‘Linyi Top Network Co., Ltd’ president, the founder of International Chinese-Indian Software Park.
Mykhailo Zhurovskyi, the rector of NTUU ‘KPI’, academician of the Academy of Science of Ukraine, Mykhailo Ilchenko, vice-rector from scientific work, academician of the Academy of Science of Ukraine, Volodymyr Hnat, general director of Scientific Park ‘Kyiv Politekhnika’, Oleksand Osadchyi, the head of directors board in Kyiv enterprises, establishments and organizations, general director of ‘Kyivprylad’, representatives of participating enterprises of Innovative and manufacturing platform ‘Kyiv Politekhnika Union’ and others.
Shandong Province is the second biggest province in China: almost 100 million people live here. It has a strong influence on Chinese economy – it occupies the second place in GDP and the third place in industrial manufacturing volume. Moreover, Shandong is the place where scientific and science-related branches of industry develop fast. The Province is also famous for being historical and cultural center of China. The City can be proud of its history: over 10 million people live there, Linyi was founded 2400 years ago. Dozens of tourists come to visit the places of interest annually. However, that’s not only the cultural center but also one of the most influential business, scientific and logistic centers of the province and the whole country. According to Sui Fuian, over 1000 enterprises operate here. Several years ago Linyi was enlistes in top 10 best commercial Chinese cities.
This was not the first contact of Kyiv Politechnicians with the Linyi representatives. Last April NTUU ‘KPI’ concluded the contract with the ‘Linyi Top Network Co., Ltd.’ to create Chinese-Ukrainian innovative center and an agreement to develop the concept and technical conditions of creating robotized ‘Smart House’ system. The memorandum on involvement of KPI experts from innovative technologies to the cooperation with the Zone of economic and technological development, Linyi City, was signed in September. These contracts are being successfully fulfilled and Mykahilo Zhurovskyi stressed on this fact while giving a greeting speech. Today’s meeting is a new step towards the development of interesting business relations between two parties.
We shall notice that the collaboration stand out from pure academic relations that’s why the enterprise representatives, participants of the Innovative and manufacturing platform ‘Kyiv Politekhnika Union’, ‘Merydian’ plc. named after S.P. Korolov, ‘Kyiv State Scientific Institute of Hydrodevises’, ‘Mayak’, ‘Kyiv Plant of Automatization’, ‘Kyivprylad’, ‘Elmiz’, ‘Arsenal’, ‘Spetstekhexport’, Scientific Park ‘Kyiv Politekhnika’ took part in the meeting. So, there was a discussion on expanding the cooperation in the sphere of innovations.
Mykhailo Zhurovskyi spoke in detail about the creation of innovative environment in KPI, its work and projects that have been fulfilled as well as about the expansion of ‘Kyiv Politekhnika Union’ and directions that can be interesting for improvement of collaboration with Linyi enterprises.
Sui Futian spoke about the interest of scientific organizations and industrial plants in broadening international contacts with KPI and Kyiv enterprises. Besides, he highlighted that the Zone of economic and technological development of Linyi intends to invest in two joint projects one of which was the ‘Smart House’ Project.
The meeting resulted in signing the agreements. The first document was the memorandum about strategic cooperation in the sphere of innovations between the Zone of economic and technological development and ‘Linyi Top Network Co., Ltd.’ from the Chinese side and NTUU ‘KPI’, Scientific Park ‘Kyiv Polytekhnika’ – from the Ukrainian side. The second document is concerned with the international collaborative in the sphere of technologies and innovation between the Zone of economic and technological development of Linyi and NTUU ‘KPI’.
