On March, 11th Yurii Lutsenko, the head of the deputy fraction of the Political Party ‘Petro Poroshenko Block’, visited NTUU ‘KPI’. He met the leading scientists and directors of the enterprises that comprise Innovative-productive union ‘Kyiv Polytechnika’.
During the meeting the guest got acquainted with the performance of the union and the military developments of the employees and students of NTUU ‘KPI’ that are fulfilled on its manufacturing location. The meeting took place in the Center of innovative entrepreneurship of the university. At first, there was project presentation and then – the counsel on organizing and normative implementation of the projects in the manufacturing. However, the issues for discussion expanded to the general problems of innovative development of national economy.
‘We are based on the military doctrine of Ukraine concluded in 2015. It is mentioned that scientific support and staff provision of the enterprises of the defence complex are in the critical state and further actions to eliminate above stated problems with the help of introducing fundamental changed in the sphere in short-term and mid-term perspectives were confirmed’, stated Mykhailo Zhurovskyi, the rector of KPI, academician of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, at the beginning of the meeting.
The presentations were devoted to the developments that are being implemented or have already been implemented in the manufacture. These are the first national unmanned aviation complexes, robot-technic platforms for military purposes and specimens of small arms and mortars, composite armor for the individual protection tools and additional protection of fighting vehicles, special communication means for tactic command level in armies, the detection system of non-sanction intrusion into information and telecommunication network etc. However, the authors were not only discussing the peculiarities of new equipment, but also were speaking about non-scientific issues that were to be overcome in parallel with pure technological obstacles. A considerable part of them is linked with the normative and legal spheres, especially in the enterprise taxation area, so the guest asked for the list of problems that require urgent solution on the legislative level with corresponding offers.
‘I wouldn’t make any remarks or conclusions because, in my opinion, the best professionals in the country gathered here,’ noticed Yurii Lutsenko while discussing. He devoted his speech to the ways of reforming military manufacturing complex as well as the change of priorities in the country by organizing scientific activity and strategy for Ukrainian economic reforms.
Actually, Yurii Lutsenko focused on economic situation separately, stressing that the renovation of economy should be the goal of the whole country. Besides, he underlines that we have to combine efforts to increase the energy of change and invited participants for collaboration. ‘I’m the one who opens the door, from then on everything will depend on your intellect and ability to stand for your position,’ he finished his speech with these words.
