On March 6, 2009 meeting with Dr. Erih Ratske, Dr. Marion Minert, representatives of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science and Mr. Erih Bistriker, researches and technologies cooperation expert «DE International Ukraine» was conducted at NTUU «KPI». On behalf of NTUU «KPI» delegation was received by Sydorenko S.I., Vice-rector of International Relations, Tsyganok B.A., Head of International Relations Department, Barbash B.A., deputy Vice-rector of Scientific Work, Shukaev S.M., Head of International Projects Department and Halimon O.P., Director of Ukrainian-German Center.

Question of join measure holding within the framework «Days of German Science in Ukraine» and opportunities of bilateral international cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

Vice-rector Sydorenko S.I. emphasized on the significance and concernment about cooperation, told about the projects and conducted work with German universities. Scilicet, about creation of the join Ukrainian-German faculty with Magdeburg Otto-fon-Gerike University in Germany, in work of which Institute of Mechanical Engineering, physical engineering and welding faculty of NTUU «KPI» take part on behalf of Ukrainian side . The purpose of the join faculty creation is improvement of the specialists training in order to meet demands of the Ukrainian entrepreneurs and joint Ukrainian-German enterprises.

In 2008 «Double Diploma» program is launched together with Dresden Technical University.

At NTUU «KPI» for many years Goethe Institute has been situating and now Information Centre of German Service of Academic Exchanges works.

During this meeting sides discussed issue concerning development of the European educational space and arranged to prepare more extensive information about the scientific cooperation between NTUU «KPI» and German universities, which gives opportunities to form jointly new directions of further cooperation between scientists, departments, faculties, institutes, scientific subdivisions, particular scientists and creation of joint structures. New cooperation directions will be supported and developed through the Ukrainian-German Center, which was created at NTUU «KPI» in 2008. Work of the Center is only expending. All cooperation directions will be developed, systemized and allocated through the Ukrainian-German Center.

Meeting was hold in the warm and friendly atmosphere with a great hope for further constructive cooperation.
