Exactly a year ago, at the Department of Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Electronics, a laboratory for designing analog circuits with a very high degree of integration (VLSI-design) was opened.

Professor Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Moskaliuk, a well-known scientist in modelling of submicron and nanocomponents of electronic equipment, turned 80 on February 10th 2019. The field of his scientific research is modelling of electronic superhigh-speed processes and devices.

On November 23-d, 2016 the IX Olympiad on circuit theory was held. It has been organized by the Department of Physical and Biomedical Electronics of the Faculty of Electronics and is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Vitaly Petrovich Sigorsky, a prominent scientist and educator.

On March 21, 1768 Jean Baptiste Joseph Fourier was born - the famous mathematician and physicist , known for his work on the theory of heat distribution , as well as those who made mathematical physics series and integrals, which were later named after him.

On April, 16-19 2013 the "KPI" hosted the XXXIII International Scientific Conference "Electronics and Nanotechnology " - "ELNANO- 2013".
